So I’ve gotten to a pretty good closing point on chapters 1 and 2 of my new novel Let’s just call it “The Great American Novel.” Great title right? I still haven’t gotten a good title, but I usually get the title much later in the writing process.
It’s a complicated novel about 4 friends in their post college years. If that sounds familiar, you’ll get why this novel is perhaps more than a tad auto-biographical. Though perhaps most novels are a tad auto-biographical. Anyway, I think chapter 1 is finished so if you want to read the draft let me know, and I’ll send it out on an email list. Chapter 2 still needs some editing and revising, and chapter 3 is simmering away, just waiting to see what happens. Chapter 2 was hard, but chapter 3 will be much harder, given the shear amount of difficult emotions that it will stir up.
